Deciding on your baby’s name is exciting, fun, exhausting, and nerve-wracking. So much goes into deciding on the name that you will give this tiny human. It is a name that will define them for the rest of their life. That is a lot of pressure! You are usually also deciding this with another person. There are so many factors to take into consideration. Here are 50 multicultural baby names to help give you some options to choose from.
Multicultural Baby Names
Multicultural means coming from more than 1 culture. In America and many other countries around the world, we are a big melting pot. We have people coming from areas all over and falling in love. This is wonderful as it is an opportunity to unite and grow. Your child’s name is an opportunity to pass down tradition and culture or even start a new one. It has become almost trendy in the United States to give children more unique names, especially of different cultures. Here is an opportunity to look at some more multicultural baby names instead of the same ones that have been printed in baby books for decades. These names are purposely not in alphabetical order so that they can each get their own attention instead of being lumped together with similar names.
First or Middle Names
As you and your significant other are deciding names, a good compromise can often be choosing the first name for one culture and a middle name for another. My husband is Persian and I am American. Each of our 3 boys has a Persian name. Our oldest has a Persian first name but our other two have Persian middle names. Middle names can also be a great way to involve family members also. You can give your family a few choices and have them vote to feel more involved.
